A first impression of Baofu leaves almost anyone hating his guts. At 32 years of age, this man is a walking neon sign of sarcasm, cynicism, and hatred for all things outside his working environment. He hates children, hates authority, and claims a hatred of anything else that's convenient at the time.
All of this, however, is a cleverly designed guise to protect a broken man who's had his whole life taken from him. His guise is both his protection and his punishment for his former life. Those who know him well can see past his quirks and obscenities, but that doesn't mean Baofu can't still piss them off to no end.
This former civil servant spends his days now dealing in information and rumors, and keeping an eye on the city he has helped save, albeit for his own reasons. Though Baofu denies it, he has a strong sense of morals that he abides by. To stick by these morals, he will do whatever it takes no matter what law or persons stand in his way.
Perhaps Desai will hold Baofu's interest...
